Reason I did a 6 speed in my 23 and I’m first on the list at my dealer for a 24 collector edition and if we get allocation it will be a manual as well!

Yeah not really sure what this means.

Decisions that killed the Camaro were made in 2013. I’ve been very clear on what those were.

Did you have to make a down payment? I just got a 23 and wonder if I should get the collector’s edition. Just think it might be a lot of trouble to exchange? I have a loan :(

My dealer asks for 1,000 down payment

The TREMEC is such a joy with the LT1. If I had to daily drive this car in LA traffic I might have went A10 or some other 4 cyl. I did it for 8 years but my commute was never intense. At that point i briefly got a hybrid. Getting 16 or less mpg while your not even having fun in gridlock is a bummer.

I didn’t as I have great relationship with my dealer. I’ll keep my 23 and drive the shit out of it and tuck the collectors edition in garage if it all works out. Worst case we have our 23’s if collectors edition doesn’t work out.

Hey Triple X, do you buy from Pete Moore Chevy in Pensacola? I bought a new 2010 2SS from them back in the day and it was a good sales experience for me.

Automatics used to be slow shifting and performance hobbling. Not anymore. For the average driver, today's automatics shift faster under WOT with no mpg penalty. One reason why almost ever supercar, including Ferraris, no longer have them.

Just like cars no longer have non-power windows, non-power brakes, non-power steering. And no crank handle to start the engine.

I use Allen Turner in Crestview as a good friend works in sales there. I have bunch of friends in service dept at Pete Moore though so use them for service. Great group of guys for sure.

An automatic transmission in a family van is a creature comfort … a manual transmission in a sports car is … everyone that sees my car asks “is it standard?” There is a reason people always ask that question!

I could text on my flip phone in the early 2000s and drive a stick. It’s not hard. You are only shifting for a few seconds then steer the car like any other car. It’s not like fast and furious where they shift 100 million times for hours
