Yeah with your power level even a demon isn't a fair race... maybe you should race a Bugatti Veyron or even a Chiron....

Thank you guys for all your response, I really appreciate it!
Since I had always been using 5W30 with no issues, 5W40 should be perfectly fine for my track and winter daily driving, do you guys know any Dexos2 5W40 oils and where do you usually buy it?
and what oil filters should we use?

idk if it's just the mobil 1 0-40 or all 0-x oils, but i recall having the same issue in 2005 with lsx stuff. numerically i think 0-40 is the best of both worlds, cold and hot both, but i can't get past the oil dripping off parts removed from the car, ie throttle body and intake manifold.

edit: i use a wix filter for the pick up trucks.

I've been using Valvoline SynPower MST 5W-40. Used to be Dexos 2 but I assume they didn't pay to re-test after Dexos specs slightly changed. Manual still says it's OK to use though. It's been fine for me according to Blackstone Labs analysis while following the manual's recommendation of changing oil after every 4 hrs of cumulated track use instead of following the oil life monitor (that much track use comes up quicker than the oil life monitor reaching 0%). Walmart sells it online but might stock it in store for slightly cheaper. Might get lucky and find it in a local auto parts store, too. Filter is ACDelco PF64. It's the OE filter, works well, has the correct bypass valve properties, and easy to get online or at any GM dealer for a reasonable price.

I also beat a 392 Challenger from a stop and beat him pretty good and I have a convertible which weighs (3900lbs) almost as much as the Challenger.

the 392 has more HP and Tq. than our cars do. But they are 400 lbs heavier.

Ouch, you had 240 more horses than him, but you also weighed about 600-700 pounds more. Still, ouch.

I had a guy in an Audi pull up to a light next to me last week, rolled down his window and told me he had a twin turbo making 600 hp at the wheels. He proceeded to rev the fartcan up so I could hear how crappy it sounded.

When he caught up to me at the next light he rolled his window down and muttered something about needing to increase his boost.

To be fair, I couldn't beat an RS3 once due to my tires not being able to get grip as it's a bit cool outside. I would think AWD Audi has an advantage in the grip department. Then again, I wasn't serious because I knew traction was gonna be a problem.

But yeah those 4-cylinders don't sound very good.

Sent from toaster or something
