Turned over 21,000 before tucking her away for winter. Sorange, do you have an Instagram for your car by chance? I remember taking some pictures of your car at a cars & coffee back at Buddy’s trucking business back in mid May. |

About 21,500 miles here. Had the A8 shudder, rear diff groan, a window regulator replaced, and occasional interior rattles. All but the rattles happened over 10,000 miles ago. Has been pretty solid otherwise.

My 2018 ZL1 M6 has 18,365 miles now. I bought her new in April of 2018 with 13 miles on her.
Zero issues until 16,000 miles. Oil pump shit itself. But, I was literally going 27mph when the oil pressure dropped to 0 and I shut her off right away and had it ride a rollback to the dealer. They replaced the pump, a few bearings and put a new SC belt on for me. At 17,031 miles, I lost air conditioning. The problem was an AC line rubbing against some metal cable stay. They replaced the AC line, repositioned the cable stay and charged the system. I still have the original brake pads and rotors all around, but I am on my second set of tires. At 6500 miles, I replaced the Goodyears with Nitto N555 G2s (315 on the rear). I still have plenty of tread on them and they are an order of magnitude better in the rain than the stock tires. But, after approx 12,000 miles, the rears are feeling greasy. I am going to replace them soon with P4S.

I just turned 3000 miles. I am actually taking it out tonight for a little cruise since the roads around the Cleveland area are clean and dry. I spend half the time thinking I should just sell my old Accord and get winter tires so I can drive it year ‘round, and the other half thinking how fortunate I am that I don’t have to drive it in the salt and snow. Come spring I may give it harder thought.

46k on my 2016 1SS. I ordered new & stripped down in late summer 2015. No mechanical issues really. I'm on 3rd set of tires this time Pilot Sport AS3. Original brake pads still look good. I changed M tranny fluid to Red line ATF and put in Hurst shifter, changed diff fluid twice. 1st time at low miles had a lot of wear in fluid, 2nd time much later very little wear in diff fluid. It used to be my DD, but I got my Wife and family new Acadia and I get to save my Camaro for nice weather, finally back in garage after I rebuilt my 82 Silverado for 4 years, project took up whole 2 car garage, it's finally done too, both in garage for winter.
My silver wheels paint chipped off pretty bad, so I had my wheels powder coated dark grey. Stock wheels are heavy though. Basically no mech. issues at 46k almost DD since late 2015. I also have a cover from Summit for Camaro, it fits nice. SUM-111118

2017 2SS.
Just hit 70k today Here is my damage list Between 5 and 10k miles - Power Steering Rack Failure & Warranty Replacement Between 25 and 30k miles - Airbag came loose inside the steering wheel, made a lot of racket when turning. Fixed under Bumper to Bumper - TCC Shudder, resolved by triple flush Between 60 and 65k miles - TCC Shudder, resolved by replacing the Torque Converter and tuning Transmission. Covered under extended warranty by normally would have costed about $2.5k Ongoing - terrible Bluetooth call quality, no one can ever hear me when I’m driving. I love my SS, but it hasn’t been the most reliable car in the world. |
