Okay, please come back and update the thread when you install these, and then we'll take note and see how long 600 whp will suffice after that
(Hint: it isn't insanely high hp, so... ).

Haha will do! yeah I think 600whp is a pretty safe spot, although I do beat on the car pretty hard so i'll have to take it down a notch after the whipple is on, but then again, I bought the car to have fun so who cares

Just don't look into any of my threads. I'm one of the unlucky ones. Nothing major other than headaches. On the way to enjoyment again. But don't let me ruin it for you. Shit happens and there is always risk as already mentioned several times in this thread. As another stated go into it with your eyes open. Especially your wallet.

I will never forget the first post after I said I BOUGHT A WHIPPLE!!!!! It simply stated... "Enjoy having no money. Welcome to the club." basically.

Well, I'm nearing 5,000 miles on my LT4 blower equipped LT1 tuned by Jannetty - very impressed. Car will now pull the hat off your head!

I've not fully tested it, but the dyno showed just over 200 CHP improvement on German 98 fuel (which does not appear to be as good as US 93). It has done over 300 miles on the Nurburgring and many 5th gear pulls to ~185 so far. Stock was a solid 175 mph (indicated).

I don't expect this non-forged piston engine to last to 200,000 miles...yet has been trouble free except when I screwed up on install, etc.

Different situation for sure but my 14 RCSB 4wd 5.3 truck put down 445 bone stock with 7.5lbs Whipple kit, single exhaust and Sam's tune (AMP). Didn't dyno stock but should've been ~ 300. He dialed it back to 434 for safety because it's my money maker AC service truck. 44k miles later no issues except a leaking bypass valve a yr ago. Great kit imo. Bought a 16 4wd for street fun with Trick twins. Looking for 800+ when done.

I'm ruining p1sc with headers and 1le fuel system which has the lt4 low side pump. Running 7psi and everything is good with plenty of fuel leftover. Stay at that low boost and you'll be fine.

I've had my Whipple install now for about 6000 miles (10,000 km for us Aussies) and its making about 550 whp at 9.5psi, and never misses a beat. Smooth to drive at regular speeds, andceconomy is damn good for a 650hp motor. I also love the soft whine of the blower, but dont like the muted rattle at idle which Whipples all seem to have. My only disappoinment is that launching it on the street has become harder now with all the instant torque, so you have to work pretty hard to find a sweet spot where max throttle and max traction meet ... mind you its a lot of fun trying

My experience with the Maggie is similar, 560 rwhp at 7.5 psi, but of course dyno results aren't comparable, this is just an illustration. No rattling at idle at all, and very little blower whine, which I actually like, I'm not a big fan of the Hellcat style, shot ball bearing whine (to each their own ). During normal driving, fuel economy is about 1-1.5 mpg less than without the supercharger, and I suspect it's mostly due to AFM being turned off in the tune, there is very little parasitic loss according to Magnuson when the bypass is open.

As with Pete's car, 1st gear is practically unusable for a launch on street tires (I have wide PS4S tires on 1LE spec wheels), 2nd gear is better. And this is a very subdued, safe build, I can't imagine how folks at 750-900 rwhp can launch a RWD car on anything other than slicks.

You probably can but you’re right on the LT1 fueling system edge. The base 3.625” pulley got me just under 600 WHP on 93 octane with just a CAI and 95mm TB on 7 psi boost. Really has nothing to do with Whipple though. Question is why bother? With the blower off it’s the perfect time to install better fuel components. And LT4 fueling is comparatively cheap.

I have the Whipple, LT4 injectors and pump. Everything else stock. At 7 psi I'm at 520 rwhp and 560 rwtq. Loads of fun!! And although I "want" more, I wonder the same as you - How in the heck do the folks at 750-900 rwhp do it?!? LOL.

I've had it back for about 2 and a half months! While the car is a lot faster, I was a little bummed out when it only made 556whp, i was expecting atleast 590. And I can barely hear any whine from the whipple, that may be becuase my exhaust setup is pretty loud but I feel like I should still hear it a lot more! I'm thinking about doing a big gulp and TB, maybe that'll get me to my goal of 600? i've been hearing that the big gulps really perform well on boosted ss'. But then I have to have it tuned again so i'm torn between whether its worth it or not. Any other suggested mods to reach that 600 range?

If you have LT4 fueling and the base Whipple pulley, you could add an E85 sensor too. A Big Gulp, 95/103 TB, and E40 in the tank will net you over 600 no problem.
