I have a used one (less than 500-miles) that I'm looking to get rid of eventually, but (to your question) Summit didn't ask me where I was from when I bought mine in their Sparks store last September. I even called in advance to ask them to hold it for a couple hours while I came out to them. They didn't ask or anything. I would try to call and see if they ask, if anything.
