Are you going to be driving in the rain? If not, get the SC3 in either a 285/30 or 295/30 for the front and 305/30 for the rear. I did a 58 minute session at Big willow with the SC3s and they never showed signs of overheating. I chickened out in turn 8 (125mph entry) but the tires never felt like they were going to let loose.

I drive to/from as well and drove thru some absolute deluge after 3 track days once. I am aure not as good as 4S, then again better for track pace and cheaper. Looks like you'll have to decide which is more important for ya. |

If ya want track focused tire get G3s. If street with better longevity while still track capable: get 4S. Or flip a coin |

There is a review which compares:
- the Pilot Sport 4 vs - the Pilot Sport 4S vs - the Pilot Sport Cup 2 https://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Articl...S-vs-Cup-2.htm In the video at 11:54 you see the results in a table. For the race track it makes sense to go with the Cup tires. |

In stock size, there isn't a better tire than G3, which costs hundreds less and doesn't give up much, if any pace over a Cup2 (from my first hand experience). RE71R is another good choice for just a bit more in 295/20 square 4S is a good choice with less ultimate track pace, but better longevity (for more $). That's about it. The best track choice (in street legal category) for absolute pace is a G3R, which requires an investment in 19 rims. But as they say: speed costs |
