Vid of last track day of the year. PB lap time but..........

Something let loose in the engine. Last track day and last session of the year!
Cosworth date shows oil psi was never an issue. I believe valve train issue as couple of holes are dead.

108.5 on R7 with 11 heat cycles is pretty good. Fresh A7 and hunting for low 7s is next years goal! Then time to do some NASA racing and see how I do.

You stayed on the track way to long for someone who thought they might have an engine issues. Should have gone track left instead of making that right hander and got off the track.

OK chief. I had oil psi and wasnt smoking. First thing I did was check my gauges and rear mirror to make sure I wasnt pukin oil.
Pulling off to the left is a terrible idea.
Great way to get slammed into.

Wow, you were absolutely flying until that happened! What are the next steps? Did you have to get the car towed from the track? The powertrain warranty is still in effect, right?

Sorry to hear that Nicky Bobby :(
Great pace though: yeah!

My bud's high rev built motor went boom recently in his Vette as well after a single season. I dont think push rod motors are well suited to high revs per se. Yours was doing 7500+ every lap, which is a lot to ask for from an LT1, mods notwithstanding. Just my layman's opinion - nothing more - so i could be way off base here.

PS nice job escaping to the right btw!
PSS two holes dead is better than crap flying thru the block lol!

Yeah they gave me tow off...
So I unloaded the car yesterday and started the car up and drove it up my steep driveway. Car is making no clattering noises at all. Maybe tagged valve/piston and lost compression? Hey hopeful I am lucky and took out a spark plug(s). Doubtful

Yeah I just bought replacement valve springs and the plan was to install after the session was over! So i checked "vehicle health" in my Cosworth and oil PSI was never an issue so that's good. This engine has 19 track days on it and that equates to approx 1900 to 2100 track miles!

1.08.5 on R7 with ~11 heat cycles is moving!
A7 stickers 7s will be killer.
Need to drop 200lbs over the winter but just not sure how I can do it!
Give me some suggestions!
