I have the PAC system, it reused the stock dials which means it retains the stock buttons for heated seats. Very happy with it

I used the pioneer appradio 4. I'm very happy with it. It's got car play which if you've never used it is very easy to use with your iPhone and is one of the reasons I got the appradio in the first place. I haven't had any issues with it at all. I had it all installed by a local shop for $250, dropped it off at 8am and picked it up at 5

I second the PAC kit! I'm running a Kenwood DDX9903S with no complaints.

has anyone found a good radio that's android friendly? I've got a 2012 RS with the backup cam in the mirror.

Would like a seamless transition to a nicer radio that has a stock look but the Mylink upgrades are way outta line for what I'm willing to pay for this mod

There's an entire thread about the PAC kit called something like "new radio option". It's like fifteen pages

Yes I read that but it seemed that the android radios never quite fit right.

That's why I asked, has anyone found a good android friendly radio yet.

People have installed Android radios using Metra and Scosche kits. Scosche has recently released an upgraded version of their kit that seems to eliminate the issues of the old version. Metra and Scosche kits can be trimmed to accommodate a slightly larger radio, the PAC cannot.

Your dash turned out nice.

I just installed the Pac Audio dash kit too. Pretty cool to retain the circle A/C knobs.

I went with the Sony XAV-ax100 with Android Auto and Car Play (no CD/DVD). It sounds much cleaner and louder than the original "premium" HU with the CD and Satellite. I lost the CD which I wasn't using, and can play SiriusXM by adding their Internet radio app ($4/mo add-on from my other car with a satellite radio) via BT.

FYI, I had to cut the brown loop wire to get my rear 6x9s working (or let's say that was the last thing I did before testing again and then they worked. Also, I grounded the light green parking brake wire to the an extra screw hole in the side of the HU as a faster solution (and avoid the parking brake warnings) to get Android Auto/Car Play to work on this Sony with for the initial install.
