I liked the red headed consulate girl also. Ms. Fields. I loved her full name from the credits. I won't spoil. Not profound but funny to me. I liked the movie also. They are building to something. I wont say what here but to those of you who saw it should know what I mean. I think its going to be a running theme in the Daniel craig era.

I saw it last night, and from reading AirGoya's account on his Aston Martin, I was expecting a lot, and I was deeply satisfied, lol.

It isn't a typical Bond movie, for sure. Had to do more with closure from Casino Royale, and yea, it does build up to something. It kinda is turning into a Bourne clone in the fight scenes, but they're enjoyable, nonetheless. I haven't read the books, but comparing to the old Bond movies, Quantum of Solace and Casino Royale don't have that "one agent/man saves the whole world" feel. Plus, where the hell is * and the *******(if you know who and what I mean)?! I guess it has to do with the fact that the Daniel Craig era is starting off with Bond as NEW 00 agent, but still.

In any case, I thought the movie was pretty cool.

where the hell was Q????????

i hated this one compared to the older ones, it just seemed like tooo much action and not enough plot and class like the others but that's just me.

Yea, where the hell was Q?!

Anyway, I like the action and I excuse this Bond for lack of witty one-liners and other things that make him so suave because he's still a noob and going through a rough time.

Hahahaha, Q's exit strategy, eh? "World Is Not Enough." I forget the line.

But yea, I guess you could say "Ms. Fields" was the "Bond Girl" in this one. Kinda disappointing with the other one, lol.

I'm sorry to disagree, but I think we read different James Bond books. In the books, Bond was a borderline alchoholic and was pretty much either drunk or working. He got horribly tortured in Casino Royale and Le Chiffre was going to castrate him. Then a SMERSH agent kills Le Chiffre and carves something in the back of Bond's hand.

I don't remember all of the books, I didn't read them until about 5 years ago but I remember being shocked at how dark they were. I thought Casino Royale was much more like the books that I did read. I never read the short-stories, but I liked Quantum of Solace the movie (I've heard that movie isn't even really related to the book).
