I’m a fat kid and the seats where torturous in the beginning, but they do break in and get way more comfortable. As far as the wheel, I love it, no issues there at all. The only thing I’m not a huge fan of interior wise is the alcantara on the dash. I’m thinking if numbers where right, you would have been a player.

Yellow6thGen, would the swap be an even deal? Also, is it something I could do myself? I've wrenched on my 79 Corvette and changed seats on it, but I know these modern cars can be a nightmare programming/electronics wise.
You guys are right, I'm pretty set on getting one! Seats were a deal breaker in the sense that I don't think I'd be happy driving it as-is, but if a seat swap if feasible I'd be up for dealing with getting a swap done. I think it's just a matter of timing and getting the best deal on my SS. If I get anywhere close to 31k for it I'd have a decent chunk for the down payment from the equity I have in it with little coming out of my account. The other part of me is also thinking to see what happens with the 19 refresh, an all digital dash like the mustang might be pretty nice. I'm thinking I'll try to make something happen before the weather warms up. I will say that the ZL1 feels special, like driving a supercar special, but more comfortable and not as pretentious/worried about scratches, daily driving etc. Really really cool car. |

I had a 2016 2SS A8 that I had supercharged. I sold it and bought a 2017 ZL1 with A10. The A10 software that runs it, could not be better, no comparison to the A8. I was worried, but knew I made the right choice after driving it the first time.

i'm also thinking about hopping over to a ZL1. I daily drive my 2ss and enter 1hr+ of traffic on daily basis ( i do want a manual ). But like most people concern, when you have a 65k+ car, is safe to park in public without someone door dink you? Maybe a woman with a sharp bottom handbag making scratches while skims through her way between your car and hers (it has happen to a buddy of mine)
OP if financial is not an issue, pull the trigger. But refresh is around the corner for 6gen, i'm waiting on what they do. |

I have a 2017 with the A10. I average 18.5mpgs and do almost all highway driving. When in town, in traffic, I get about 11mpgs. You are not buying this car for fuel economy. Regardless, you get great economy by using the train. You are already doing your part. For punching this car though holes in traffic, the power is amazing when you are speed. The suspension is great, does not beat you up at all. The negative: from 0-40mph, it struggles with traction at anything more than half throttle with dusty or imperfect roads.

I so want to pull the trigger ASAP. In my area 2018 a10 zl1 is going for 63k (5k off employee discount for everyone). But something is holding me back as in “refresh 2019” is just around the corner.

That is only valid on 2017 models & ZL1 is N/A if you can not find a remaining 2017.

I prefer the current look over the 19 refresh look, especially those hideous ass taillights... http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=492665
