Talked to Tony last night and ordered his TB. Really hoping to smooth out the off idle response, and a few extra HP is nice.

Regarding your question about DSSV durability.... remember these are street cars first and they must pass every single part of stress testing that other production cars undergo. Plus, I can't recall where, but remember reading that DSSV shocks are likely more durable. Lastly, some guys w/ Z/28s have 40,000+ miles on them and haven't reported any issue and they're also used on the Chevy Colorado (off road vehicle and obviously not exactly like what's on the ZL1 1LE, but similar tech..). Believe you will be fine.

Also, i drove my Z/28 home in sub 40 degrees w/ rain the night I purchased it. Still had the Trofeos on it. You have to adjust to the conditions and it's not ideal, but can be done. However, I'd recommend more street friendly tires as it'll soften your ride and make it more streetable in poor weather conditions. Guys on Gen5 have driven their Z/28 in the snow so it can be done.

Edit: Here is the article that talks about DSSV durability vs. dampers w/ discs ..... https://blog.caranddriver.com/from-f...ers-explained/

I read that as well somewhere when I reading up on how they worked. believe it has to do with the fact that they dont have seals that wear over time like a standard hydraulic/gas shock

LOL you posted the link further down.

Thank you JUSTIFIED! Good article.

That was my main worry. That and engaging first gear.

Any recommandation for tire if I take the ZL1 1LE over the ZL1. MSP4?

Your welcome, my friend! Keep us posted on your decision. It's a bad boy, that's for sure.

Believe the MSP4 would be a nice option. I'd look at the weight and try and keep it fairly close to stock...suspension is setup for light weight tires and will perform better overall if you keep the weight down, esp. w/ unsprung, rotating mass.
