mine did on the passenger side , dealer wouldn't fix it under warranty , it was $1200 so i put it on my insurance and paid the $100 deductable . there is another thread on this someplace alot of others have the same thing, hopefully your dealer will fix it under warranty.

Well I'm happy to report I do not have this issue. Hopefully, it stays that way (~6.6k miles).

What was the dealer's reasoning for not honoring the warranty?

Just looked this morning and I don't have those spots.

As for warranty, if you can prove that you haven't played with the doors (like if the bolts around the hinges have never been touched and don't have scratches or paint chips on them), maybe you can get it fixed under warranty because it was a misaligned door.

They said I had to hit something by the passenger side headlights and the quarter panel got moved back. Even though there was no dents. Or I ran over a big pothole and the tire hit the quarter panel and knocked it back towards the door since the door rubs against the quarter panel when you open the door.

It’s a defect in the car, somewhere in the forum I found where others say the bolts keeping the front fender on are loose.
Can’t find it I forgot what words I used when I searched it the first time.

I also have a small spot like that inside the driver's side door. I think it's from closing the door, which must compress the seal enough to allow metal to metal contact. One of these days I'll touch it up, and put a little protector pad like for a drawer in that spot.

There is a bulletin that recently came out for this issue. Have your dealership look at

18-NA-276 Paint Wear Mark or Chip at Corner of Rocker Panel Molding from Door Over-slam Hem Seal Contact

It is a procedure for doing a “partial paint repair” (touch up) of the affected area, and then applying a small piece of clear mylar tape to keep the door and rocker from contacting in that spot.

It is not an alignment issue with the door, so adjusting the doors will not resolve the concern.
