I hope that this puts to rest the question. Here are the answers:

- Do our engines get carbon buildup on the intake valves? YES
- Is this buildup bad? It's not going to kill the motor, but it's not good.
- Does a catch can reduce the amount of buildup? YES (oil=buildup, and less oil = less buildup)
