A total of 9,110 2018 1SS made

1,074 are Red Hot
2,518 have the 1LE package
3,933 are 6-Speed manual
5,525 have the NPP Exhaust

Just a suggestion to all concerned...

Give Chevrolet some additional time to get accurate production information. After receiving a reply that showed my 2SS/1LE had automatic transmission, remote vehicle start, and sunroof, I sent Chevy Customer Service my VIN again + imagines of my window sticker & build sheet.


Today I received another reply that called out only 4 options - LT1, MM6, GT4 (3:73), GD1 (hyper blue), and HOY (black interior trim)… Lots of critical pieces missing & interior trim code is for standard 2SS black interior. WHAT A MESS!!

I plan to wait at least 30 days to submit another request, as getting a realistic answer surely beats a quick answer. As a side note, Chevy Customer Service was able to tell me the following about my SS Sedan...

1 of 398 produced with Orange Blast Metallic paint

1 of 61 made as optioned


Given the thorough report on my 2017 SS Sedan, I believe that (if given an adequate timeframe), Chevy Customer Service will be able to give me good information on my 2018 Camaro 2SS/1LE.

Yes, sir! 2017 was the final year. I waited to order the '17 once I learned that Orange Blast Metallic (Holden color for several years) was being added for the final year of production.

There are 2 brand new SS Sedans on Autotrader, while there are a dozen or so used w/ less than 15,000 miles... I love mine!!

This is the reply I got last week

GM built 9,110 1SS Camaros for the 2018 model year
GM built 2,518 1SS Camaros with the 1LE package (A1Y).
326 Of all 1SS Camaros built were painted Garnet Red (G7E).


Check back later in the Fall in we may possible be able to break out the 1LE figures by paint color

After replying yesterday to Chevy Customer Service, informing them of all their errors regarding their response to my 1LE inquiry & explaining exactly what I would like, a new representative responded today... The email assured me that not only would they correct the errors, they would provide all available data, but they said it would require an unknown amount of additional time.

Just an (unexpected) update...

Although Chevy Customer Service was going to wait until all data was available to respond to my inquiry, I received some additional data (image attached) this afternoon. They are lacking production details on 2SS/1LE vehicles at this time.

My car, however, is 1 of 162 to be ordered with Performance Air Intake & 1 of only 34 ordered with Premium Carpeted Cargo Mat w/ Logo. Oddball LPO items can ensure a unique vehicle!

Have you tried contacting them yourself? Since you have one, they may tell you at least how many of your color they produced..

I am also very curious to know the build counts for 2019 2SS 1LE - Satin Steel Metallic....I had to have a dealer source mine from out of province and secure it and train it to BC...What a sweet day that was to see her roll off the truck! I know it is rare especially in 6 spd manual, I love it with the active rev matching. Any info on the 2019s would be awesome

Those won't be available until well into/after December, since they're still making them...
