4200 Status but no ETA?

So got word from my dealer that my car hit 4200 status, and is shipped, contacted Chevy chat to see if there was a eta but they said don’t currently have a eta so how is my vehicle “shipped” but have no ETA? Is this normal? According to Joe Rip Joe “4200 Status - Shipped
Means dispatched/loaded - moving to destination.”

So am I missing something? Any info would be nice thank y’all in advance

See but with the thing is that Joe stated that “4300 Status - Iterim / Intermediate
Means movement/staging for transport dispatch.
Although with startup production..
it can also designate movement to other facility lots.”

So technically I think 4200 is further than 4300 which is quite contradictory because like I stated before 4200 means that it is shipped/loaded/dispatched and is heading to destination, with no eta it just makes no sense, I mean does anything ever with GM

Agree the whole situation is one big mess. My understanding is it can switch back an forth between 4200 an 4300 status. So yes hard to say but 4200 could be ahead or behind 4300. At some point your will prob goto 4300 then back to 4200. So confusing. Mine hasnt budged from 4300

When was your officially built?

Mine was at 4300 and then went to 4200 and I did finally get the car on June 14th. The way I understand it is that because I ordered BO4 Black Rally Stripes, it went from 3800 to 4300 due to the addition of stripes at a different location. Once the stripes were installed it then went to 4200. I can not confirm that this is absolute but seems to be how it works. 4300 being interim and 4200 being at least the beginning of the shipping process. Also, I had an original ETA of 6/22 then it went to 7/1 and then suddenly it showed up on a Sunday night at the dealership, 6/12. Go figure..... if you can!

As Becky explained some time ago, 4x00 statuses can cycle, their progression is not linear, because similar transport events may occur with a vehicle several times, depending on configuration and availability.

I know my order status timeline isn't directly comparable to those after 2020, but status changes are similar, and if you look at my sig, my car was at 4300 first, then 4B00 (bayed) two days later, then 4200 another four days later and 4800 nine days after that.

I think only ZL1 1LE's ship via truck from the factory, all others go on a train and then a truck has to take your car to the dealership from your local train yard.

Lots of delays in trucking right now, so while your car may be on the move there are still steps that can cause providing an eta to be very difficult.

When I ordered my 2013, I never got any eta at that time either. Long before the issues we have today.
