Ahhh - The Acadia is fairly popular. This all could have something to do with the total inability to order a V6 Camaro. Rats. Getting harder to resist the I4 Turbo. Most owners really like them and an axle back exhaust takes care of most of the alleged(very mixed reviews on how bad the stock exhaust sounds) sound issues. Hmmm. My "use case" is sport driving, twisty road weekend trips, some auto-crossing and an occasional track day. Exactly what this I4 engine & chassis combo are made for.

Thank you . I missed the Acadia because of the stock engine photo that doesn't look like my previous LGX at all ... This does explain the constraint to some extent.

LT1 Chip Shortage?
So do we think LT1's are having some sort of chip shortage? I'm seeing SS's and ZL1's that were built days after LT1's being picked and paired to be put on trucks for delivery. Yet, the dealer I have my order through also has 4 LT1's built days before the others that are on "hold" at the plant...

I don’t think it’s the LT1 engine that is the problem though, otherwise they would list that RPO code like they do for the LGX V6. 3LT, 2SS and 1SE (ZL1) are all on constraint. These are top trims with the creature comforts like heated steering wheel, blind spot monitoring etc. I suspect it is a feature common to all those packages that is driving the constraint. Dylan did mention there were 20 ZL1 allocations available last week so maybe they got a few steering wheels (or whatever the constraining part was) and reserved them all for ZL1 orders since they sell for the highest price. My ZLE got accepted by Chevy according to their website chat feature yesterday (checked daily since dealer gave me order number). Asked to make sure in the order tracking thread and was told it is 3000 status. so maybe mine is one of the 20 allocations that were made available last week.
