For us poor bastards in Canada waiting for constraints and allocation to be released for 1LE's.... Is there anyone or any department at GM that we could bombard with emails, texts and phone calls to ask them to get there shit together? I really don't understand why US market is 'open' for ordering and Canada is not. A built car is a built car is a built car!

Transport tracking
Hi All,
Not sure if everyone knows but reading around the forum US cars seem to be able to track once built where in transport it is. Was reading up on the Jack Cooper website so I googled it and found a link in the corvette forum https://www.palsapp.com/ I gave it a go to see what happens and it actually provided a status. you need a VIN or freight number. Tells you Origin; Destination; Destination Name; Freight Bill number; VIN; and Status. I was curious cause the last communication I got from GM Canada two days ago was it was built but to follow up with Dealership going forward as the car is still going through QC and transport. My sales Manager has been good and has given me updates real time and provided the VIN last week as soon as he could but said he didn't have a delivery date. I didn't want to follow up with him continually and nag him so figured if this works it'd be like tracking a package through FedEx or UPS. |

The exception to that is if the dealer is close enough to the factory that JCT is the only way it gets shipped, or if JCT also happens to be the trucking company that picks it up from the next railyard after it gets off the train (GM uses many trucking companies so this is not guaranteed).

Checked with my dealer for an update yesterday. My order and another order from Altona, MB are stuck at 3000 status. There have been 6 ZL1 vert’s within a 1000 km range that are 3800 or higher status. It will be seven months tomorrow that the order was placed and I just don’t understand how GM decides when to build sold orders.
Summit GM in Fort Mac has a 2022 Riverside Blue ZL1 vert with a 6 speed for sale. https://www.summitgm.ca/inventory/New-Chevrolet-Camaro/

It's been reported in the forums here that the ZL1 wing is in extremely limited supply - maybe there's another part specific to Canadian spec that is also constrained? Most parts are common w/ US models, but not all of them, so it could be further restricting Canadian orders. I understand the frustration with a 7 month-plus wait, but since they delayed the start of production until mid-August - maybe it will help a little to think of it as 3 months late instead? No matter how you count it, I hope they sort it out and you can get your car sooner rather than later.
