I put in an order for a 2021 2SS back on August 14th, but by the sounds of it they’ve already started production of the 2022’s as of August 17th. I am going to assume that my order will just be registered in as a 2022 or changed by the time GM allocates the order right? I live near Vancouver and from what you guys are saying I should be waiting till spring/summer of next year regardless but I’m just wondering if anyone might know how that’ll work.

Either way I’d prefer a 2022, and the options I’ve picked don’t conflict will the model year changes.

GM will not automatically convert your 2021 order to a 2022 - your dealer might reinput it as a 2022 if they're doing their best to make you happy, but you can't assume it's going to happen automatically. Call your dealer and make sure they've submitted it as a 2022 to be safe.

I’ll give my dealer a call this weekend and touch base with them about changing it over if they haven’t already. The online Camaro configurator in Canada has not been updated for the 2022 model yet so hopefully they can sort it out for me.

I ordered mine back on June 8 and it was for a 22 cause they couldn't order 21's anymore. Not sure how they got the order in unless they meant it was a 22. If somehow they got the order in for a 21 and it gets changed to a 22, the order number will change or it did for me.

Okay good to know. When I did the order I just emailed the dealer the build that I had made up on the configurator, perhaps they already punched it in as a ‘22 but I’ll know for sure this weekend when I call. I’ll also make sure to get the order number as I forgot to ask when I originally ordered it. After all that it’ll be back to the long waiting game, the dealer had said it could be up to 10 months, here’s hoping that it’s a little sooner. I passed on a new 2021 LT1 A10 that they already had there cause I wanted the extra creature comforts of a 2SS (and a manual).

Wow, this is interesting. I too placed an order for a ‘22 ZL1 on July 12. When talking to my dealer yesterday, he informed me the car had been built, but don’t expect it for 6-8 weeks. His reason is shipping holdups. With the number of Chevy’s ordered in western Canada, you wouldn’t think that would be an issue.For the interest of other Camaro orders, my serial # ends 0100529. B.T.W. my wife ordered a 2021 premium track pack Mach 1 in January. We still haven’t got it and We gave up a C7 for that ! Things you do to keep a happy family. Hope to see some posts on new arrivals soon. Bye for now…

Glad to see one 22 is built for Canada lol. Which dealership did you order from if you don't mind me asking? I ordered a ZL1 from Sherwood Park Chev around same time and still have no TPW.

Dealer said they had an allocation. I had to wait a couple weeks for it to go through.

That's weird that it hasn't been accepted by GM then. Usually if they receive an allocation from GM and submit a build it should get picked up decently quick

They tell me that the order is accepted by GM and in the system, but no TPW yet. I also contacted GM on the Chevy site. They said same thing and order is waiting for acceptance into production.

Which dealership did you order through?

I’m in Québec, ordered my ZL1 22 in July and it’s now 3800 (produced). Now waiting for it to be shipped. There’s hope! Hope I get it before the snow comes!

I'm in Toronto, I left a deposit in April at a dealership here and they called around first week of August, no constraint allocation came in. TPW is 09/06/21 so lets see if it hits the production line after this upcoming week

I ordered my 2SS around the same time as you (Mississauga) and I was told I have the same production week. Fingers crossed maybe they’re doing a grouping for our area.
