Just to confirm... 1LE diff oil and capacity
2023 2SS 1LE M6
Searched and read... here and owners guides and the intarwebs. Lots of noise but some "facts" seem to consistantly surface from the noise. Of course, the 2023 owner guide says "see dealer" for diff fluid info  Is this correct for a '23 SS 1LE with eLSD? Gear oil = 88862624 Capacity = 1.2qt Thanks

Just changed mine in a '21 SS 1lE .. I think about 1.5 Qts seems about right. I just picked up two quarts, pumped one in then pumped the second one in till it started to overflow and called it good.

1.6 quarts according to the High Performance Owner's Manual Supplement.
Yes the part # in post 1 is correct. The bottle shape was changed fairly recently but the part number remains the same. |

Just buy 2 1 quart bottles and pump till it overflows from the fill hole.

Probably 2017 but I don't remember. The same diff capacity info is on page 44 of the 2023 performance supplement.
For the SS 1LE 6-speed manual transmission, buy 4 quarts of fluid (ACDelco # 10-4033 aka GM # 88861800), fill until it starts overflowing, then remove 8oz of fluid according to the service manual. Idk about the automatic transmissions. |
