295/30/R20 Square Setup on Stock 1LE Wheels

Does anyone know if you can run a square 295/30/R20 tire setup on a stock 1LE? I know the factory wheels are staggered 305/30/20 in the back and 285/30/20 up front but my friend works for Continental and can get me a killer deal on the 295 tires since they are lower demand.

You can run those. The 295 is a bit on the wide side for 10" rim width, but that's still in the range of recommended rim widths for that tire (10-11"). If the price is right, I'd have a hard time talking you out of them.

Thanks for the response! He can get me them for $97 a tire so I think I'm going to do it. I wish he could get the stock sizes but they are in high demand so no discount.

I'm sure you are well aware of this, but just in case, even though you'll have a "Square" setup (tire wise) you won't be able to rotate them like a true "Square" setup due to the different offsets from the front to the rear wheels...

This exactly...the rear wheels and the offset won't fit up front. I run a winter tire in 295/35/20 on that wheel but again you won't be able to rotate the wheels.

Oh hell yeah, I'd compromise on tire sizes for that deal!

This is what I'm running from fall to spring with Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4. Works fine - rears are stretched, fronts look like stock.

You can rotate the tires - you just need to go to tire shop to dismount the wheels and mount back Not an issue if you swap from summer track tires to all-seasons off-season anyway.
Tire rotation makes sense on Camaro since tire wear front-wear is very uneven, so you can extend the lifespan of tires significantly.
