Flooding destroyed my 1LE...
Places here flooded here that have never had a history of flooding! About 3 feet in my house, both cars to the dash area, and my job took about 5 feet, which destroyed the car lot! Homeless for now, we are at a friends house, both cars destroyed, friend loaning us a car, and my job
My car that I ordered was 1 of 64! Best car that I ever had and now I am sending the paperwork to complete the, Certificate of Destruction! Never lost a car before, this ordeal is tuff on us beyond belief. I know, I know, family is safe etc, but if pretty much all your belongings are destroyed, MRE's aren't that bad btw, try to find ice, OMG the traffic, etc = Game Changer! I finally meet the person in the neighborhood that also had a 1LE that he lost! It was a '15 and he hardly drove it! I asked him about that, he said that he hardly had the time. At least I had the pleasure of driving mine 25,052 miles! Enjoy your cars, I know that I sure did! Take care everybody!

Glad you're ok but, to lose your cars and belongings has to be tough. Do your best to deal with all this. It's a shame about the car. Glad you have true friends.

Glad everyone is ok, and I know it sucks to lose possessions. Was in a flood only once, and it was a scary freaking time! Best of luck to you and yours, and here's to your next Camaro!!

I feel for you and hope all goes well, lost a lot with hurricane sandy as well, 8' in my basement, cost to fix was in the excess of 50k, hopefully FEMA comes through and quickly. Also be on the lookout out for a build it back program, be on the lookout for everything, charities, gift cards whatever you can get. I remember standing on line for hrs for a 300$ gift card on numerous occasions. Good luck and hopefully everything will sort its way through,

I'm sorry for your loss. I lost my 14 1LE due to flooding also. I hope you are made whole again with insurance and able to get another. The insurance companies do not really know what the 1LE's are so be prepared to spend some time with the adjuster trying to get it right. I have State Farm and the initial figures were way off. I spent about 3 weeks back and forth with several people until I was able to deal with one adjuster who dealt with more specialty vehicles who brought a 3rd party appraiser in. The final settlement was very fair and although upset with the process I was overall pleased with the outcome.
I'm glad you and your family are safe and hope you are able to bounce back. You have a friend and neighbor here. Take care, Ray |
