Bfg comp 2 a/s on SS 1LE

I was thinking about running the bfg comp 2 a/s on my 1LE. It’s a daily driver and I live in wet Seattle weather so thought it would be a good idea to run all seasons.

I was gonna run 285/35/20 in the front and 305/35/20 in the back. I know that the tire will rub in the rear driver side because of the wire harness so I already relocated that before hand. Is there any clearance problems running a 285/35 in the front on a 1LE?

I tried finding another post about this so my bad if this is a repost 😂.

you could do 35 in front but only 30 in rear. no info about those tires but the michelin ps4s is also a good all season tire as long as no snow

The Pilot Sport 4S are definitely NOT an all-season tire.

As I understand it, you can run the 35's in the rear as long as the harness is relocated.

As the person said, as long as no snow the Pilot 4s is a good tire for dry and wet use. I have them on my 1LE and drive the car all the time which includes the rain. The MP4s tires perform really well in the rain.

If I knew I was going to possibly drive in light snow / winter slush I would go with the Michelin A/S 3 or the Continental DWS06 tires.

I think I’ll just end up going for the Michelin pilot 4s. I’ve heard good reviews about them and I won’t have to worry about rubbing.

Doubt a 285/35 will work with the 1LE struts. I think it will rub on the lower spring perch

I will ahve them on the Camaro for Fall/Winter, ran them on my Mustang and they were fantastic in that role. Never drove them in more than a lite dust of snow as I just stay home if that's the case.

I was shopping these recently @ TireRack and they gave me a 275/35/20 and a 245/40/20 though I entered SS, and NOT my 1LE...make any difference in the fitment?

Stock SS tires are a bit narrow for the wider wheels that the SS/1LE comes with. SS: 20x8.5 & 20x9.5 vs....SS/1LE: 20x10 & 20x11......Wouldn't even want to consider trying to fit them on the SS/1LE wheels, talk about stretch, don't think the front 245 would even fit on the 20x10 front rim.

You can take the wheels off any 6th gen Camaro and they'll fit with no problem on any model.

go skinny on winter tires. People are just about giving away silver SS wheels with senders. Make sure both ends are within 1 inch in height.
