My Wang's Bigger Than Yours: APR Inside

Got my new APR wing installed tonight. Next up will be the splitter, canards, and diffuser.

I ultimately decided on the APR wing instead of the ZLE wing because the APR wing, splitter, diffuser, and canards combined were $1000 cheaper than just the OEM ZLE wing by itself.

I'm sure there will be some haters as this isn't everyone's style, just try and keep in mind that I track my car frequently and it's all functional.

If you go check out their site they have full test data for all of their wings. Of course the numbers will vary slightly depending on the car it’s on due to air flow around the body and wht not. They make good stuff, most TT cars I see run their stuff.

Holy Mother of Wangs!

Didn't I read somewhere that GM reinforced the trunk on the ZL1 1LE because of the down force generated from the wing?

It's literally like a super aerodynamic 300lbs dude sitting on your trunk at 100mph.
I could imagine that straining the sheet metal if there isn't some kind support under the wing mounts.

Also the OEM wing has 3 supports, this one only has 2.
So if this thing generates similar downforce, that force is being applied over 2 mounts instead of 3 meaning a higher pound per square inch of force trying to deform your trunk.
Hopefully all that has been considered, just calling it out because if this thing was bought just for looks, it could cause some damage.
