Btw, been running no front plate since the end of the 90s, no tickets except for parking in downtown Chicago as others mentioned before.

Never got a ticket for no front plate, even getting pulled over for something else. My 2002 Firehawk doesn't have a front plate (though it only has 18,000 miles), and my 2011 RS never had one for 4 years.

I live in Shorewood, and have had the car for a year with no front plate. Ive never been pulled over. I don’t speed in town and the cops don’t seem to care about the plate. I think they know where I live by now and probably don’t care. Chicago would be a different beast. They are hungry for everything.
I actually had a fire truck pull up next to me and rev it’s engine to get me to play. I think the local pd fd appreciate nice cars and won’t make a stink over the little things. |
