Exclamation KOOKS > Green Cats > AWE

Heads Up!

Short about 1.5". Gonna get some extension TIG'd on the back end of the cats.

Aside from that everything is starting to come together.

I’ve never heard of this issue with those parts !!!!

Anyone else know of this happening ?

This combination was what I was planning on doing to my car.

With the AWE catback exhaust, there are no headers that will marry up to it, with some type of fabrication.

Typical I would guess. I don’t know any long tubes with cats that would end up meeting at a factory connection. Not a tough fix for any competent shop anyway.

I guess I shouldn’t expect aftermarket parts from different companies to match up 100%. Don’t know what i was thinking.

I would be doing my own install for theses parts, I guess I can just take the pipes to a shop and have them weld an extension.

If you have the AWE secondary cat deletes, you’ll be able to just cut those down instead of welding extensions onto the headers or their cats.

Link pipes are no longer available from AWE. You might be able to hunt around and see if a vendor still has stock.

Dynosteve @ RDP Store is where I bought mine, and I believe he still has them in stock.

Is your system after the cats KOOK's or AWE? I just bought a full KOOK's system to the axle back and wanted to run the AWE axle back system, wondering if that'll work.

My system after the cats (assuming you’re talking to me, lol) is AWE. But it sounds like your setup should work fine.

That's why I decided to have ARH make their long system for me. Then you know it will all mate nicely

There is no factory connection so you really need to be careful when ordering long tubes and catbacks. If the catback deletes the rear cats....it will overlap the long tubes and you'll need to cut and weld (cutting aftermarket systems isn't easy). If the catback doesn't delete the rear cats you can end up short (but most systems will retain a small portion of the stock exhaust to marry up).

OP it looks like you can use a good set of band clamps to cover the gap there. Or just have them welded up.
