My 2014 does NOT have the lines on the backup camera. It's a 2SS RS with the upgraded sound system.

The answer unfortunately is that depends. You can pic a backup camera that has "static" lines. I actually like these better than the radios with the "active" lines. Active lines move when you turn your steering wheel. I actually have both and leave the active lines off. I don't care for them.
As a "general" rule static lines are a function of the camera while active lines come from the radio or computer or add on interface. Static lines don't move Active lines turn when you turn your wheel Both can be adjustable |

When I changed my head unit on my 2015 2SS to get navigation, the backup camera shows active lines. I'm assuming that it is a function of the head unit and not the actual camera.

I think the active line also need info from the BCM sine that is where the turning steering wheel info is. I don't have any idea though on what years that might be able to be relayed to the radio.
