I don’t drag race. I do want “roll run ability” for the occasional runs and passes on the street. A10 needs to be in this car. I don’t want the regular ZL1. Been there before.

Quit being a DB. As I said, I’m an executive for a heavy civil construction company and this was a closed road. It was a part of a series of tests on high speed road undulation for emergency/first responders. My buddy and I used our personal toys for a few of the tests.

This is a solid excuse. Just odd seeing over a dozen cars on the “closed” highway. (I assume the response will be only one side of the road was closed. Marginally less solid excuse haha)

Last I checked there were at least a million street racing video's on youtube... nobody cares anymore. While I choose to not participate in them due to the potential legal issues that I dont want to take on, I dont care if somebody else does.

Even on Corvette Forum that use to delete and ban any posters that even appeared to be street racing, simply doesnt care anymore.

GT3 is the dream car for me, but could never justify the price given the performance out of the ZL1 and Z06.

I admit, I have never understood the heritage or enthusiast argument for keeping a car M6 only. I admire Porsche in their option structure. Every car should have both options available. Your enthusiast can have his stick and your track time hound can have his auto. As a GM stock holder, this mentality seems bad for business if you want to push sales and revenue.

Agreed. From a marketing prospective, the more available you make your product the greater your sales results. Example the new zr1: it will finally be available in both transmissions. Opening it to additional buyers. I would have bought a 1le if it were available in an auto and wasn't told there were only "750" being made. They're making as many as will be sold.

I agree. For enthusiast cars, I like having both manual and auto options.

On the GT3, I love the car, but I agree it’s not worth the money from a performance standpoint over the GM offerings. That said, it’s easier to own a Porsche GT car because they don’t depreciate much.
