Drove it....mall, grocery, other stores; question: rear dif @ 2000 miles? Does the maintenance schedule require it so soon?

I dont think it’s required. For piece of mind and to get all the break in shavings out I went ahead and did mine at 2k. Now my worries are did I do the fluid change the right way? It was my first attempt at any rear diff fluid change. The pumping and draining are easy, its knowing you put the right amount in that gets me I just drained it and plugged it all back up then pumped fluid until I got a small drip coming out of the fill whole. Wasn’t hard but like I said who knows if I put the right amount in. There is a sensor on the diff itself so maybe itll let me know if it’s getting too hot and needs more fluid? I have no clue but live and learn so we’ll see what happens

sorry, no sensor for fill level. For any rear or manual gearbox, just fill until it weeps out of the fill hole and that is the correct level.

No, not required but based upon the look of mine when I did it at 1900 miles it was insurance. The following thread has a lot of good info and a vid.

Excellent. Something to consider at that mileage. I won't do it though. Something would bound to go wrong! Also, just drove it again...over 800 miles now.

Started putting in some rear suspension upgrades from BMR. Bent the right rear lower control arm and figured while I was in there I’d upgrade some stuff.

Decide to go for a lil drive. 45 minutes later ended up in San Francisco then turned around and came home. Was having some spirited fun on the freeway with a Challenger. I backed off after about 5 Miles realizing I was above the “recommend speed for break in” 300 Miles to go to hit 1500!

I did the upper and lower trailing arms and took them off. There was so much vibration it wasn’t worth it but the springs made all the difference in the whole world. They’re amazing
