Xpel in the right places and rock guards and still it's not enough. I'm on my 2nd hood wrap with is much thicker than the GM crap. If the hood wasn't wrapped I'd have Xpel on it. It's getting blasted all the time on the highways and the tracks.

You can buy the PPF kit and do it yourself and save a bunch of money. I did my own install on a couple of my cars and turned out great. Watch their install videos and have at it.
Got my kit from Ebay, seller North Tints. I got the 3M Scothguard PRO for less than $300 includes bumper, partial hood and fenders, headlights, mirrors, and splitter.
Yes, you can track your car and still keep it nice, don't listen to some of the nonsense posts about don't worry about your paint cause racecar bs.

If I'm taking my car to the track, I'm mentally/financially prepared for a crash, and I know that it could get totaled and be a total loss, and I accept it. I wouldn't be having fun peeling around the track if I was worrying about little rock chips.
In general I agree with this advice - I've gotten more rock chips from daily driving compared to what happens at track days. I've never noticed a single rock chip after a track day.

But I also agree with Glen e that the Track Wrap is not a bad idea if you're worried about it. If nothing else, it will make the rubber cleanup afterwards a lot easier. You may not get rock chips during a track day, but it's guaranteed your car will be covered with rubber bits.

Track protection

So u should first start with a clear bra up front and on your rocker panels. This is permanent and installed by pros. 1-2k depending on installer. 3m, xpel, suntek are the big 3. This is for everyday protection. Now for track protection, which is temporary and installed by u, there is track armor which is good but I switched to this

It's much cheaper and u dont have to cut it. It also comes off eaiser with no glue spots left behind. Also use blue painter's tape on little things like your splitter, headlights, and mirrors. Warning if u get the suntek clearbra dont use anything but blue tape over it. The track armor and products like that will leave waves and lines in it. I know from experience. However the 3m and xpel it will not. Good luck. And deff get the rock guards. I might have about to 7 bucks in per race day. Here is a pic. I hadn't dont the front yet. But u get the idea

I've been looking at this as well as some of the other removable products above, however, my car is ceramic coated. Wondering if that will cause issues with it sticking or if any of these will cause damage to the coating?

I understand the "don't worry about the paint" thought process (I honestly do) but I'm not there yet.

Mine is ceramic coated as well with no problems. I will never use track armor again because of some left over glue issues and because I love the armadillo tape.

Tracked the car the 1st two years and the front got crushed, paint was pitted and looked like crap. I was warned and learned the hard way. Now a new front clip, paint and followed up with Paint Protection Film. Its thick and I expect it will help much - hopefully soon I be able to let you all know how it works out.

If you don't have it on the car for the 5k street miles, it's not gonna make much difference for the 50 track miles. If you don't drive it on the street and only track it, who's gonna see the difference.
I've caught way more crap from semi's and leaky dump trucks than any trackday.

I always used road warrior plus for track days on my previous cars. Do 2 coats takes about 30 mins and when you are ready to remove it wipe it with a wet microfiber and it peels off in one big sheet. With the ZLE I’m planning to get the clear bra done
