Cutout placement question

I am getting QTP cutouts installed in a few days but wasn’t sure where to put them. I wanted them to be as far forward as possible without throwing a check engine light. I have seen them just behind the secondary cats but heard that throws the light. Some insight would be greatly appreciated.

You'll get arrested in California for that.

I would put them in front of the mufflers personally. If they open right under your seat it's going to bad with fumes and you'll smell like gas when you get out of the car. Fine for a race car but not street driving. It'll be almost as loud out back but less intrusive in the cabin.

Put them as far back as possible , I had dumps on my cammed 4th gen under the back seat and they would make my change jump in the cup holder. Sounded awesome but the smell wasn’t pleasant.

Thank you for that guys. Any of you that did those exhaust mods, did you get any lights come on? Or just it’s a bit much for a daily.

After the Xpipe. You're gonna loose the scavenging effect and even sounding tone if you do it before.
I have mine before the muffler suitcase, love the sound.

So what I’m basically getting from most everybody is do what QTP says in the instructions and put it before the muffler. Thank you all for the input
