SS to ZL1 brake conversion

hello, I'm in the process of piecing together all the parts i'll need to go from SS 4 piston brakes to 6 piston ZL1 brakes. The question i have is what else will i need besides the calipers, rotors, shields, pads, hoses and caliper hardware kit?

A liter of good brake fluid and that should be it, assuming your wheels clear. A fresh set of rotor retention bolts are also a smart idea.

Don't know if the caliper hardware kit includes the mounting bolts. But those mounting bolts are a one time use so make sure you get a new set of them. I think they are like $8-$11 each.

And I would also do a new set of rotor retention bolts also. Not to expensive.

Someone asked about that recently, the "Caliper" retention bolts can be reused.

They "can" but I wouldn't. And GM won't either. There torqued to spec and then torqued over so many degrees. Can't remember off hand. But they are throw away parts after use. Personally I won't screw around with the brake system. That's one area where you do not wanna cut a corner.

Probably like 3k for the fronts and rears so far lol, still a lot cheaper than the AP racing set i wanted. Thank you everyone for your input, i'm gonna go ahead and order some rotor retention bolts and i think that should be it besides the brake fluid. Also does anyone know the part number for the zl1 hardware kit? I tried to search the forums but the only part number i could find was 22813180 and that number doesn't seem to match for a zl1.
