I would back the timing off a degree or two and see what happens. It must be the gear and weight that are keeping you off the limiter if the shift points were all set to 6,500 or so. Let me know what the log says about the shift recovery.

Fun night even though it was cut short. Looking forward to see Jim's SS run in -2,000 DA Atco mine shaft air and him getting everything sorted. I'm going to need a pulley and DRs to stay close. A 450 pound weight advantage is hard make up. It is pretty amazing what NA SSes are running.
But even on DRs I don't see other ZL1s doing any better than 1.7s. For now I will stick with 36 pounds on the stock tires.

Thank you
I think it was, I posted it last week to a small Facebook group. I went to Atco last week. After going over my logs and seeing how the cars shift recovery has been raised with the CircleD, I decided that the MSD intake would be a nice compliment to my particular setup. I inquired to Brett on how to port a stocker well over a year ago and he didn't even blink on offering advice...thanks homie...and I ported the MSD the minute it arrived. Their is a very good chance his work is better than mine, but I get the satisfaction of doing it myself..no better feeling imo. Slips below. The 10.851 is .001 quicker than Troy's #1 bolt-on pass. I hated to do him dirty so I made a follow up pass but couldnt do any better that night. I did text him as it happened and he congratulated me, noting that it was in +1100 DA late June air and not the mineshaft DA that Atco gets in the fall. The 1.48 60' is good, but not as good as it should be. I am working on the driver mod. These passes were idle launches like Brandon does but that is not what I ultimately want to do. I don't get many runs at TnT to try new things but I will start loading the car and quickly rolling into the throttle (not my current idle stomp) and I believe that will work much better for me if the tires can hold it, any preload now with a stomp just smokes the MT R's...work in progress and an in car video below. https://youtu.be/ToCtJzIFQRw Edit; I added a snapshot of the DA 20 minutes after my pass. I use airdensityonline which I feel is more accurate than Dragtimes.

Yup that's the video I was referring too. Congratulations Really steamrolling through the gears there sounded like you ended that run in 6th gear. Now I'm curious to see if the 3.27s could happen and what it would run. Sounds like the happiest medium. |

Thanks again. Unfortunately the 3.27 gear will not work in our car, a forum member here bought one and it did not work, crushing blow for us A8 guys. It does need 6th gear to reach the traps..lol

3.73 > 3.27
Don't fear the gear! Again, awesome times. And quit making it harder for the rest of us.

Yea SB, I wanted to mention your run in my thread but figured you wanted to wait for a faster time. I wonder if -1500 air might be worth 2 tenths. And more sorting and seat time another tenth. Waiting for bolt-on Coyotes to to stop up to the plate.....
