Nice, I'm looking at either them or another company that's doing a rod and piston combo that is also drop in set up.

I went ahead and got new forged weisco rods as well. A little more coin that I wasn't prepared to spend but better safe than sorry as I do daily drive and do a lot of Mexico 50-170 rolls. Hopefully by end of next week guys this thing will be together and on a dyno. Waiting to pay for the tune and ice tank/heat exchanger ( last of the high dollar items).

Yessir so at this point I'm fully forged, I believe the builder told me my compression would change to 11.1 if I'm not mistaken. I want to get the heads ported but I'm getting strapped and still need to figure on axles and driveshaft in the near future. This is still my daily driver so I don't wanna get too carried away but boy does it add up quick.

It would have but I keep doing add on's with the money I'm saving going with the shop I chose. Forged pistons, rods, and rings were not initially part of the build, neither was a new ice tank, and custom heat exchanger. If it weren't for me adding (requesting) this it would have been finished probably 2 weeks ago. I'm a patient guy though especially when the shop is very reasonably priced (which allows me to spend more on my build) It all works out in the end, Thanks though

I can't imagine why after all this you wouldn't just go ahead with the head porting as well.

It's already apart not like it's an easy/cheap thing to do later. You've bought everything else under the sun.

Some head porting at this point is a no brainer

Do it!

What kind of gains will I see? I was told the lt4 heads don't gain much by porting.

That cam is a major concern for me... The specs don't compliment nor lend itself to the low end grunt you're wanting to experience with that blower.. It's gonna definitely sound good if a wicked lope is what your after. As for the heads, it's a toss up whether or not it's worth it. As I've stated before, a race valve job combined with light weight springs will go along way. Just not that big of a fan of hogging out a hole that's already 297cc's. Sexy build you have going on....
