RPI Designs Buyer Beware

I ordered a new front grill custom painted from this company. It said 4 weeks for delivery of custom painted parts. After 9 weeks of not receiving my grill I called numerous times and finally received an email back saying the product would ship the following week. I did finally receive my grill the wuality of the custom paint was bad with overspray all over the back side and the grill was broken. A piece was broken off where it has a tab with a hole to screw it in. I called and was told to take pictures and email them which I did. I heard nothing back for days and called again and they asked for more pictures which I sent. After a few more days they finally issued a return and it was shipped back with the promise of a new grill. Three weeks later I receive a package from RPI Designs containing the exact same broken grill I shipped them back still broken. I again start the calling and email process all over again and again several weeks later I get a response that they will ship me a new grill and it will be a few weeks before I receive it and to just keep the broken one. I said no i have no more confidence in your company and to just issue me a refund. Their response was that if I pay to ship the broken piece of crap they shipped me twice they would refund my money. At this point I think I'll eat the $250 they charged me and give them as much bad press as I possibly can. I intend to post this on every forum that I am a member to warn people not to do business with this company.

I'm sure they have to have some satisfied customers or they wouldn't still be in business. I am just sharing my experience with them. If you search this forum and all others you do find many complaints as well as with the BBB and challenger forums.

What a shame. However, don't let them off the hook, you have already wasted this much time so you might as well get the advertised product or get your refund.

Last month I ordered the airbag cover decals they have. I received a tracking number from them and according to that tracking number my package was delivered July 22. I emailed them telling them I never received anything. They weren't willing to help at all and told me to contact the post office and it has nothing to do with them

They have a bad rap over on the Corvette Forums as well. So this is not a first time thing....

It always amazes me how companies send out an item....it was "delivered"... And now its the customers problem. I would never do business with a company that pulls this shit. Thanks for the heads up.

Same thing happened to me when I tried to order bow ties for my 5th gen , they did nothing to remedy the situation . I wrote them off as a shady business a long time ago . Never again !

If you ship something to someone and have a tracking # proving it was delivered, why is it the shippers problem? If something gets stolen off a front porch or the shipping co. didn't deliver it? As far as im concerned, if you buy something from me and I ship it out AND can prove it, my obligation is done! call the shipping company and file a claim.

I'm not the one that shipped it. The shipper should file the claim. If I signed for it, different story.

That may very well be, but you would hope a company that wants to remain in business would make the slightest attempt at customer service and check into the shipping issue rather than telling a customer to go pound sand.
