College football playoff
If Penn State wins out who should go to the playoffs, Penn State or Ohio State?

Ohio State, but we'll get destroyed in the playoffs if we keep playing the way we have.
On that note, active shooter on campus as we speak.

Ohio State is a lock. If they get past Clemson they can beat Alabama... but only if they can get their passing game in gear... which hasn't been the case much lately.
Alabama is highly vulnerable through the air. Ole Miss, with the only good QB in the SEC, lit them up. They (Alabama) played nobody else with even a semblance of a passing game. Actually, their best win was USC, but that was the first game before USC switched QB's. Since then Alabama has been beating up on mediocre teams. It will be interesting to see them tested. And Washington can throw the ball. If they get in they could be trouble for the Tide. |

Saw the CFP ratings. What does everyone think about Michigan being rated 5th? If Washington loses, looks like they'll put the Wolverines in, even though they have lost two of there last three games? If that happens, the will have two Big Ten teams in the 4 team playoff, and neither of them would be the Big Ten Champs or even division winners. They can't do that, can they?

The only way around it would be if Colorado blows out Washington. Otherwise it's a B1G tournament... along with pesky Alabama, of course. It would be awesome to see.
The only downside would be Ohio State and Michigan playing in the first round... that would suck. |

Ohio State it is then.
Alabama is a young team and has surprised me. I wasn't confident in them this year but they keep winning. USC wasn't the best win. A few games were better wins. Hard to say which one but not USC for sure. Ole Miss is what I call a wild card team. You never know about that team. Sometimes they come into a game with their hair on fire and beat nation championship teams in that season. They are hard to beat sometimes no matter their ranking. There are teams like that across the country. Pitt is one that comes to mind.
