Ocean City, MD Cruizin' Car Event. May 18-22.

I'm not sure who all here has ever heard of it but Ocean City, Maryland hosts a yearly car event (typically in May). To actually enter your vehicle into the car show it must be a pre-'76. However, the show is not really the attraction that most come for. The real reason most come to the four day event is because it's really more like a rolling car show. They normally get between 4000-6000 hotrods, classic and modern muscle cars, and straigh up drag cars that come from hundreds of miles around to cruise up and down 10 mile Coastal Highway strip. There is typically all kind of "shenanigans" that goes on, there are tons of vendors, legit burn out competitions, and individual car meets.

There is a 5th & 6th gen Camaro meet at the Rose's parking lot on 94th and the Bay on the 20th from 5p-7p.

If you've never been to this event, and you decide to come, you'll be coming every year for life. I've never seen an even like it, it's truly huge.

I have never been to the OC auto show in the spring, but I have been to the one they have in the fall (usually Columbus Day weekend). Saw some great cars at the show, but even more out on Coastal Hwy. A guy at a stoplight in a big block Chevelle revved his car when the light turned green, and a parked car by the side of the road's car alarm started going off! Totally cool!!

I may try to go next year once I get my new 2016 SS.

The problem with this world is stupidity.
I'm not saying there should be penalties for stupidity,
but why don't we just take the warning labels off everything and let the problem solve itself.

The one in the fall gets about half the amount of cars. The one in the spring is huge.

I'm usually on the beach at Assateague catching stripers. I go that weekend every year for the fishing but I am always amazed at the amount of show cars I see around. The motel I stay at is always packed with cool cars.

Worth driving the new ZL1 down from Dover? Maybe for the Camaro meet?
