Funny, I just recently had mine in for the 45K service, and they said the only thing it needed was an alignment. Said all the fluids and filters looked like new and recommended not messing with the transmission fluid unless I was having transmission issues. No mention of a valve cleaning either.

The replacement doesn't burn oil, but they could not determine why the engine was burning so much oil. GM took the original engine back for evaluation.
