A bolt on is anything you can easily add or remove without disassembling a portion of the drivetrain.

LT's, exhaust, CAI, TB, intake manifold, UDP=Bolt On

Converter, DS, transbrake, cam, heads=Internal Mods

That's what I would consider fair.
All this argument. Imagine when I actually get rid of the stock exhaust and put headers on it. And an actual cai and msd intake.

They should both be considered the same, if your replace the stock converter with an aftermarket converter or you replace the stock clutch with an aftermarket clutch assy, then neither are stock and would have to be considered the same mod. It doesn't matter if its a wear item or not. Unless you put the same clutch in from the manufacturer its still an considered after market and not stock just like the converter. Neither should be considered internal, they should be considered aftermarket and not stock they are just links from the flywheel to the transmission.

Can't say I agree, and neither does the NHRA. An aftermarket high stall converter will make your car quicker and would only be done for that reason. Saying this is the same thing as changing a clutch (which won't make your car any quicker unless your old one was toast) makes no sense to me personally. Furthermore, when I used to run the NHRA Stock class manual cars were allowed to upgrade the clutch, but automatics were not allowed to change to a high stall converter as that is a performance enhancing device.

Hey, if you look on the mustang forums, they consider anything other than a s/c or nitrous a bolt on......but that's so they can say they're "bolt on" auto gt runs low 11's, but has a stall, aluminum ds, no seats and he's driving on a milkcrate, etc lol.

If you're talking ease of installation, some people might be able to "bolt on" a procharger quicker than they can drop a trans and swap the converter. Personally, I throw a stall in the same category as a cam...

Bolt On's can include:

LT's
CAI
Converter
Gears
PTB
Axels
Driveshaft
Tune
Diff Swap
Clutch
Exhaust Mod's
Line lock
2 step or other electronics
UDP
Intake Manifold
Race Fuel or E85 Tune

NO CAM OR HEAD SWAP!

Like it or not, fair or not that's the way it is on Camaro 5 and 6 Fast List's and the rules will not be changing anytime soon.

How much boost are you running with your heartbeat blower?
