exactly! ppl worried about how much the car is costing them instead of enjoying it.

This

Maybe this isn't the right hobby for some of those kinds of people. In the end - I don't care, because I bought/making the exact car I've wanted anyways, so people should do what they want with their money. Just don't complain about it...

I drive the wheels off mine. Sun, rain or snow.

Its satisfying to me to see a performance car, that I bought new, age well as it is taken past 100k miles. Actually enjoying the car and make memories because its part of my daily experience. Part of me.

These cars are poor investments and typically depreciate terribly and become irrelevant.

The transition to Electric Vehicle makes me wonder if our cars will get ostracized or become beloved. I intend to drive this one (20 1LE) for four or five years and then park it ...like guys did with the original muscle cars.

This is the way! I drove my 2SS year round, friggen loved it. I don't thin my ZL1 will see the snow but I'll more than make up for it during the good months

Any discussion of ZL1 value must have an asterisks next to it in the current market. That said, regarding driving it: I daily my '21 ZL1 (work, gym, and occasional weekend errands), but I only go into the office 2-3 days/week so that helps keep the miles down somewhat.

I do worry a little about piling on the miles knowing that supercharged V8 super muscle cars days' are numbered. I also worry that if its totaled or wrecked it would be harder to replace and take longer to fix in today's market with parts and chips shortages. Someday, when they no longer make them, it won't be replaceable.

Here's my tune...Had several muscle cars, best 1970 Chevelle, to 2010 Camaro SS, 2017 C7 z/51 Vette, 2019 ZL1 just sold it..now looking again, sold ZL1 just for reason that I got my investment back, it was a free ride for 3 summers, cost me maintence for upkeep, hopeing that I don't go 2021/2022..GT500. Best to all...have fun look up at blue sky's.

Nice list, although I would never sell my ZL1 just because I got my investment back if I didn't have an upgraded replacement. If I were to replace my ZL1 with something other than another ZL1, it would be between a C7 Z06 (new as possible, i.e., 2019) or a 20/21 GT500. Since I need back seats at this point in my life, it would probably be a GT500.

Totally understand your thought's..I'm working on replacement, you mentioned upgraded replacement, at horsepower we are at now, if you have over 600 HP, we start to get limited on choices for new ride, keeping dollars at limited amount.
I dont care for C8 at this time, I've had c3 c4 c5 c7... C8 Z06 sounds tempting.
For me for at this time it's Shelby, but ADM on new Shelby is nut's...so i'll hold out till Dec, see if I luck out.
Again..we're all here as enthusiast...

I took it to get groceries tonight and there's nothing like pulling up at 9:30pm in a cammed car that's loud as hell to get a gallon of milk and some fruit.. lol

I've got 30k on my 19 now. I put average of 10k a year on mine. Mostly from long cruises and a few long vacation trips.
