i did make legal tint on trips, sides and back. this is probably the best picture i have to show strip and sides. i enjoy the dark lighting during the day. remember our windows have a tint to it so 50% will dry darker as well end up a little more darker.

I had some new kind of tint put on the windshield. Almost clear, but blocks 86% of the UV out.
I don't know if it is legal in your state. Got it installed with the rest of the tint. It was only 120 extra.

so the difference is do you want tint or are you looking for heat protection. Because you can get ceramic tint which provides UV protection which will help keep the car cool. And you can get the entire front windshield done with that. But if you're looking to tint it so the light is not as bright that's a whole different story.
