Windshield tint
I need some opinions please. I am interested in getting my windshield tinted, but I'm worried about visibility. It's legal in my state, well to a certain % anyway, lol.
The shop recommends 50%, but I read online to do 75% since the camaro windshield is so small it will still look dark. Anyone, hv this done? Recommendations, pls and thank u. 2018 Camaro LT |

If it were me I'd go light as possible. Not a fan of tinting the entire front windshield

I have 50% on my windshield. This is the first time I've had a windshield tinted, and I absolutely love it!

I did I think 85% which I think is the highest. It cuts down on all the glare from headlights at night and I don't have to squint anymore while driving at night. It's also completely illegal here in Mi and I haven't had any issues at all. I can also tell it doesn't get as hot in the car when it sits, but still gets hot. And also I had someone sit in the car and it glares enough that people can't see you in the car till they are right up on it

If you just want to kill the heat you can go to a ceramic like Llumar Air90

85% does look clear when you get close to it. And that's why I went with it so if a cop walks up they can't tell and give me a ticket, but standing about 5-10 feet away it glares so much you can't see inside. Also with the angle of the windshield its going to be mostly glare anyways. And going too dark I would be afraid of visibility at night as well.

This is what I did and the ceramic really makes a difference on heat transfer thru the windshield. I got the ceramic all around, what a difference.

20% on the sides including the sunroof and 50% on the front.
Visibility is fine.

20% sides 5% rear and 50% front all ceramic. It looks fantastic and no visibility issues at night.
If mine was a DD i would have gone 75% in the front. This is my second vehicle with front window tint and I love it.
