Being able to adjust the loudness via npp modes when it suits you is infinitely valuable compared to not. I'm sure even in florida, they have places where cops feel like cracking down on noise makers. I'd try and keep your setup NPP compatible if at all possible - especially if going louder and not just looking to remove crackle/pop.
Can't in Florida. Those laws were ruled unconstitutional.

HOA's can impose fines to harass you but a couple of those without a certified decibel meter and they'll have an issue explaining the harassment in court.

Either way, the NPP is a great concept and you paid for it so try and retain it is my advice. I don't have it so I am SOL regardless.

Literally zero. There are no gains with an axleback.

i did keep mine. took the complete system off in 1 piece from the secondary cats to the tail pipe tips. i thought it could be reinstalled if i ever sold the car and the new owner didn't not like the sound of the aftermarket system.

Hmm that might throw a wrench in my plan, I want to do just an axle back or perhaps an x pipe but keep cats on.

Is there any value loss when doing tasteful exhaust changes? Say just mufflers/axle back?

I can’t stand cackling exhaust. Even the ATAK trips my dislike meter.

The S-Type was a little, & I mean little, louder at cruise speeds on the highway. Much more noticeable, but in no way obnoxious, around town. Dip farther into the pedal, however, & it was an excellent balance of volume & tone. Soooooo much better than stock.

If I were to get one for the Z, which I may one day, it would hands down be the S-Type. No hesitation about that. The only decision that eludes me is which tips to get.
TY for the insight. Not a fan of cackling either.
Meeting a friend with the AWE. Prob look for someone here with the s-type too.

I'm in VA if anyone has the s-type & is down to let me hear it!

Dude were you by Meridian Pint!? Like 2 weeks ago? Off Wilson Blvd by the skatepark?
Pizza Boli's & Kikos skateshop?

FYI decided on the AWE touring catback for this beast. Made an appt directly with AWE too for professional install. Their shop is only a couple hours away.

Ha, another VA owner checking in (Sterling). I am debating between the Stainless Works exhaust and AWE. Any chance I could hear yours once installed? The videos don't tell me much.

I've never been to meridian pint, but i was coming from a friends house back in that area about a week or 2 ago?

Nice, I think I'm probably going to do the Corsa NPP Axleback, maybe the catback preserving the cats if I can find a good price; does AWE touring catback preserve all 4 cats?
