I agree, a nice tint would be great.

Thanks Dave.

I'm still dealing with some minor cosmetic issues. 4 months exposed without any love has taken it's toll.

Car is amazing, it takes great discipline to keep the tach under 4K.

Happy that she sleeps in my garage now.

Was it worth the wait???... YUP!

I leased a 2SS A8 with rally black strip. The car drives great in every aspects. Only problem is the paint. I have to say, white color does suffer a lot on highway stones/sands.
I got 2 of these scratches in 3 ways of ownership and I tried to fix one of them and made it worse...

If you going on highway or long trips where you know maybe there will be a issue grab one of those Novistretch nose masks/bras for a easy fix. Goes on and off in seconds after installed. I been to on a 4000+ mile trip with it on and pleased with it. Always have and always will buy white cars here. Don't blame the color blame the roads... hehe

Non metallic white is a pain in the arse. Definitely doesnt hide dirt for obvious reasons. Metallic gray and silver are the best for hiding. I also find the Chevy paint to be soft. It scratches easily and gets worse when trying to fix it if you're not careful. When on the highway, I try to stay at least 4 car lengths behind other vehicles and avoid big trucks at all costs.

I had to get mine professionally detailed to remove swirls from it's short time at the dealership and they also confirmed that the paint is thin and soft. They couldn't get all the swirls out because they didnt want to get too aggressive.

Only way to really protect it is by having clear paint protection applied which is pretty expensive. Ceramic coating helps a little, but doesnt really protect against scratches or swirls. Just makes it much easier to clean. You also have to be very careful when washing the car because any dirt on the rags or in the buckets will scratch the paint.

I usually buy metallic gray cars, but I always wanted white with black accents. Never again... lol luckily I only drive this car a few times per month in sunny weather.

Drive, clean, repeat. Lol

I never realised just how filthy a car can get from a quick drive on the highway in nice weather until I got a white car. Gorgeous though when clean.
