Got new torque converter under warranty!

I have been struggling with the torque converter shudder issue since shortly after getting the car (2016 SS) at 32K. Got the first flush a year ago, and it was good for a while. Late last year, the issue came back, but it was mild. Dealer could not reproduce the issue. Early this year, I got the second flush based on the language in the TSB that says they can do it based only on customer complaint. That actually made the problem worse, and a few weeks ago I could start to make it shudder on demand (light load at 40 mph +). Took it back to the dealer, they drove it, and they said yup the torque converter is toast. Just in time, the car is at 55K miles.

So I got the car back, and it feels great. Big thanks to the guys at Simi Valley Chevrolet. They helped make it right.

I know the feeling. They replaced my torque converter along with the latest fluid and flush, and 15k later it's still doing great

When it's out of warranty, plan on replacing it with an aftermarket piece. Mine has been replaced 3 or 4 times now. Need to look at the paperwork. So far it's ok but I have no faith in it. I have 5500 miles on my 2017.

I have 53k miles on my 2017 and had the torque converter replaced at roughly 20k miles. No issues since--runs like a dream!
