I scanned over the first post today while doing my diff. Oil chsnge and I didn’t see it so I’ll post it here.
The torque value for the drain and fill plugs on the diff. Are 24 foot pounds. Should be added to the first post.

You’re welcome.
And thank you for being the catalyst for this thread. We should have a super detailed sticky threads like this one for other jobs such as headers, exhaust work and other basic jobs that we can do at home. Pictures, videos and detailed information contained in one thread make life so much easier and take away some of the anxiety of doing your own work. Last thing I want to do when I’m getting ready to do a job is scan through saved websites and 10 different sources of information for guidance.

I ordered the M1 ESP from Summit Racing. Shows as available. Diff oil from Amazon. No telling about them right now.... Summit has it, but the price has doubled for some reason.

2020 2SS, no intention of tracking, did my first oil & Diff fluid change at 505 miles (Mobil 1 0W-40 ESP Formula & ACDelco Dexron LS Gear Oil SAE 75W-90 GL-5)... I also plan to change both again at 1,500 miles and then again at 4,500 miles... Fluids are cheap, components are NOT... The most expensive car I have EVER owned (by 2X), so I plan to take VERY good care of it!

Congrats and Enjoy!
Id hold off on the differential until 1500 miles. I dont believe its necessary at 500 at all. Manual says 1500 if you intend to track it. Otherwise you wouldn't have to change it until way down the line. I think youre safe at doing it at 1500 if you can hold off. I know I get a bit OCD with fluid changes also and as you said it wouldn't hurt but it would be ok to wait. |

I think that is because that is a Speedway part number for the "Kit" (including filter)

Best I can tell 123875 is the old part number and not the new oil which is 19370233. I actually ordered this https://www.gmpartsoverstock.com/oem...m-oil-19370233 but I received the old oil. Not what they are advertising so I will see what they say about that. |
