Lt4 blower to lt1 bypass valve
Does anyone have clear instructions on how the bypass valve is hooked up on a lt4 supercharger swap into an lt1? I want it to run off vacuum and am seeing conflicting things while searching. A picture would be GREAT

I just installed an OEM LT4 supercharger on my LT1.
ADM provided most of the parts and recommended that the bypass has one open to atmosphere port and the other connected to the blower (order doesn't matter). The other port on the blower is capped (or a blower pressure gauge). The electronic bypass assembly is removed entirely. I've only just got it started/driving so don't have any more experience.

Just a bump. Doing this install soon so hopefully someone can shed more light on this.

Stan1ley: What is confusing? On my car, the bypass is closed when ignition off. Idle it is full open. At WOT it closes.
Did a short WOT pass last night and had 9 pounds of boost. Jannetty is doing the tuning. I would be interested at how the electonic portion works and if it is beneficial to wire up (if possible) on an LT1.

9psi is a good boost number,so your fine. The pic from germany is spot on. Anyone that does it different needs not be working on a car.....you must understand what your doing before you do it and if you dont have that understanding than let someone do it that does. |

ADM: much appreciated clarifying the electronic portion - I have no interest in activating. Another WOT run last night showed touch over 9 pounds from ~2500 rpm. Looking forward to a full sweep...car is much more lively at part throttle. :-)

Tim, quite impressive so far. Been following your thread for a while.
I plan for a similar LT4 SC upgrade and would like some advice and lessons learned. Shall send you an IM so we can take it offline if OK with you... |
