As for cost. Silver and black paint and plastics cost the same im sure. You do know that most cars have plastic/composite parts now right? Chrome steel or even aluminum would be hideous and would add weight. No thanks. I'd rather have black plastic than fake chrome or silver plastic. Let them rip me off! :-)

I like that new shadow grey. Cool color and I saw a new vette in that color and looks sweet in the sun.

@hotlap: I would go on Monday to see it in person. That red courtain background doesn’t make it justice.
@JhonnyGTR: that ZL1 looks hot, and I’m not a fan of dark colors The SS... I still hope it’s a last April joke |

I could be totally wrong, but I highly doubt Camaro sales will rise after this abomination.

Was at an event yesterday with several Camaro owners, not a single person had anything positive to say about the new Camaro. Last Sunday I was at a car show thrown at a Chevrolet dealership and they hate the car. Hopefully this refresh is refreshed quickly.
I love my 5th gen. Liked the 5.5 gen and the 6th. Just can't do it with this design. I'd love to love this car, but just cant. Hoping for better things for the 7th gen. Not only is it an ugly car, but the color choices are no better than your cookie cutter Honda or Toyota. I'm really ready to pass my 5th gen to my son and get a new Camaro. I thought I was going to do it for the 2019 model, but I guess I'm going to have to wait. Hopefully better things are in store for the future.

They aren’t changing the design any time soon, unless they had a backup design of some sort (which I’ve never heard of in the modern industry). The refreshes are finalized 2 years in advance, and all of of the road testing is just validation after a period of in-house testing. The reactions to the refresh probably had an affect on the 7th gen’s final appearance, but nothing major could be affected as the tooling for new generations is finalized multiple years in advance of their debut.
