2SS Order entered

Got it done this morning at Stingray Chevrolet east of Tampa. Nightfall Gray with Kalahari leather, automatic, black 5 spokes, black bowties, NPP and Mag Ride.

One item that's not totally clear on the order - 5LQ is the 6-Piston Front Brake kit. On the Mechanical drop down menu it defines the 5LQ as "Red Brembo".

All the early photos I've seen have black Brembo covers with red SS lettering. I guess we'll see what shows up

Awesome, congrats and welcome to club of people who ordered and now are anxiously awaiting their cars! Love that color combo, I thought about that combo, but my last vehicles have been dark exterior colors, said to myself I am getting red since I have been wanting and saving red for my next car/sports car.

Thanks - Color selection was tough! I went from grey to red, to black to blue - back to gray. I am sure the red will look awesome. I don't think there is a bad color selection in the group.

Welcome to the circle of 2SS orders

The stock 4 piston calipers seem to all be the blackish grey color. I am fairly sure the 6 piston is red. I was torn on that option, but I just can't justify the cost for the kind of driving I will do. I also wonder if they will upgrade the rear calipers to red to match your fronts?

Question: Do you currently own all those cars in your sig? If so, I hate you in a loving way #67 #69 and a 14 ZL1?>!>!>!>?!>!?!>1?

Not a Chevrolet dealer!

Seriously, there are dealers who will not pre order. In some cases, Kerbecks comes to mind, they have so many retail sold Corvette orders and the Corvette often has so many constraints, that it is easier for them and better for the buyer if an order is entered that will pass all pertinent constraints that that is how they do it.

But 3096 of the 3100 Chevrolet franchised dealers do not have so many retail sold customers standing in line to order that they need to take such measures.

Not an answer because I have no idea who the dealer you ask about is but simply a suggestion as to why.

They should be able to, probably has no clue...tell them to stop listening to GM reps and actually try to go into the GM Workbench system and place an order. Betcha they will be surprised! Otherwise go elsewhere, there are other dealers that care or are at lease willing to work with you to take your business.

I have talked with two dealers in my area. one of them tells me till October and the other one that he doesn't know. It is very frustrating. they act like if they don't want to sale or if they don't know what I'm talking about

Show them the people on here are getting orders through using GMWorkbench. Bring your phone, show them pics, and send them links of the very threads with order that have been submitted and have an order number. Drop the evidence on them, and they'll have to investigate those options. You may be surprised with the results.

We talked about that at the dealer this morning, I can't imagine IF the fronts are red, that Chevy would leave the rears grey/black, but who knows? the order form clearly says "front only"

Yes to the cars in my sig, I'm a bit of a Camaro nut too
but the '14 ZL1 will be replaced with the 2016 SS as the daily driver.

That looks like a dealer stock order, dragonZ28. You might ask for it to be redone with you named as the buyer, especially if you have left a deposit. Be sure to get a new order number if you do.

It is. They are putting the order through first thing Monday morning as their ordering guy had to leave before I arrived. They ran all my info and I got everything. I put a $500 deposit down. I have dealt with them before. Kerry Chevrolet is on the up and up.

That is exactly what I did with my dealer...I was so frustrated, I sent my guy pics of scanned orders from Thursday. He finally went into GM Global Connect on Friday after me arguing with him, and what do you know...he was able to place the order. He was like, " you were right, do you work for GM, and where do you get you info? " Just have to persistant and have patience.
