Numbers don't lie but they also don't tell the whole truth.
The SS was also a lower production model in the GEN1 years, most people don’t need high performance for a daily driver. I’m sure GM knew that going into the first gen looking at the competitors in the market, whole reason for the base model.

Nothing new with that it’s been that way since the start of the Camaro.
See link below on production model numbers for the GEN1

Call me a hater, but I don't like the front end on this model. The manta wings and the location of the bowtie don't work for me.

Having said that I think the hood on the 19 is far superior to the hood on the 16-18. If it would fit (does it?) I would buy one and swap it in for my hood.

From all I've read the NPP is the same.. So not sure where you come up with that info.

A10 has the same performance numbers as the A8 from Chevrolet. It will be interesting to see how they do at the track

I think the exhaust itself is the same, but I've heard Chevy changed the tune to get some more exhaust popping on decel as is currently the trend.

Same here. But, however, the black is definitely the best color to mask manta wings.

I agree, black is the way to go with that front end. Does anyone know if the hoods are interchangeable between the 18 and the 19? I would love to buy a 19 1LE hood and swap it with my 18 hood.

hi, nice camaro!
i own a 18 1ss 1le in hyper blue and just ordered a 2019 1le in mosaic black. at first i hated the refresh then it grew on me. especially in black, agree that grey is nice but i hate grey cars owned a beautiful silver Mercedes 12 years ago and no one cared about it!!! lol so i went with black!
i thought the NPP was the same! what s different about the 2019 besides the face lift, taillights and infotainment, thanks.
whoever is getting a 2019 should get a 1le and a darker metallic color otherwise it looks like a Civic "no offense".

I drove a new 19 and didn't notice any change from my 17 but it may take more than a 15 min drive to notice the diff.
