Forced Inductions Interchiller

So I'm just curious about this system for my future build.

Has anyone compared interchiller to weapons x boost chiller?

What are the reviews from people that are running these systems?

Are they worth it?

Can you use all braided hoses with AN fittings?

My understanding is that by using this interchiller you remove the heat exchanger, do you remove the center and driver side heat exchanger?

How would it work for a daily driver?

When I was comparing the fi set up had a much larger heat exchanger than other kits. Not at all sure this makes any difference but they tell you it does. I still don’t have mine hooked up.

I have the Weapon-X Boost Freeze Chiller on my 2018 Daily Driver.
Almost 2 yrs and 24k miles of continuous use. I use the AC for the blower all Winter also.
Mine was the very first production unit, we first used it on the stock blower with every Weapon-X package...then it was rolled over to the Whipple build.
It does delete the small Driver side HX, but I have the WX HX for the other 2.
Best money that I spent so far...it works like a charm!

This is an absolutely amazing engine bay, congrats

So you still use the passenger side hx which I believe it's for engine cooling and you change the stock center hx for the WX -HX. So you only remove the oem small driver side HX?

We installed the Weapon X unit and the install was a breeze. I was shocked how plug and play everything was. We will be doing a Forced Inductions Interchiller soon, so we should have a comparison for you in a couple weeks. Right now I'd be hard pressed to see anything beat the Weapon X system though.

We made 5 passes on the dyno in the summer in one hour and every pull was within 2hp on a modded LT4. With the heat soak normally associated with the LT4 this is amazing. Usually you lose 25-30hp every pull. This car made 701-699-700-699-701

The same can be said about running meth though. You'll keep your intake temps down spraying meth and get nice consistent pulls and you'll also be able to run more timing. The interchiller will not really add any power, you just get to run at peak power all the time. With meth you can add 50-70rwhp in timing as well. The meth kit and install are considerably cheaper as well.

Would be awesome to see some before/after cooling data for the various systems of the WPX system on a stock LT4. Also, any information on the warranty for these guys for leaks/etc? Also assuming you need to bleed the system of course after install, which would require an aftermarket expansion tank on the OEM blower, or a trip to the dealership for the pressure bleed procedure.

For what its worth.. I didnt have any losses on repeat pulls for my bone stock 19 A10 ZL1 in 69 degree heat (high humidity and warm dyno bay). Dyno attached stock (ignore the lower curve, thats my previous car for comparison).

Also, the OEM coolers are thinner by design to allow more flow at low speeds for non-dedicated track cars. Obv thicker is better for track dedicated cars but if you daily it a lot, may not be best to have the bigger cores unless you have lots of mods.

How reliable and safe is meth injection. I have heard good and bad things. Is it safe to run on road course and street? Hows it in the winter? ( I don't drive it to much)

Is direct port injection safer or better? Does anyone make a direct port plate for the 20 zl1?

Sorry for all the questions I just like to learn so I can have an idea which way to go.

The only negative there is with meth is pump failure really. Make sure you don't run your tank dry (they have warning systems) and you're good to go. Meth will add fueling and take some load off your injectors and fuel pump. It is 110 octane so when you are running it you'll be able to run more timing safely. Which is better for your motor.

It is safe to run on the street or the track (again assuming your keep your bottle full). If you do run out of meth you can't go full throttle. When your car is tuned for meth and you run out, any time you floor it you would lean out and be running way to much timing for the 93 only. For our customers we usually offer multiple tunes through an Ngauge if they are interested. So if you needed to shut off the meth set up you can.

On your meth setups are you running M1 or a 50/50 mix like boost juice

I’m curious to see a comparison between the two boost chillers. I’ve been looking at both of these kits recently and I’m curious to see if one really differs from the other.
